A kickbox trainer , a singer in a choir, a woman who teaches the Dutch language in the living rooms of Turkish and Moroccan mothers.  This is a selection of portraits of volunteers in the Amsterdam neighborhood Bos en Lommer ( a so called ‘Vogelaarwijk’ at the time), made in 2005 and 2006. They are published in two books commissioned by associations.
